As our Estimator, you will assist in calculating the costs of materials for projects. You will prepare initial cost estimates for the required supplies and services, create pricing schedules, develop bid proposals, and assess the technical aspects of the project. You need to confirm that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet high quality standards. Our Estimator is proficient with take-off methods and has a high aptitude for organization and scheduling. You will work closely with our Project Manager to prepare comprehensive action plans and manage resources, timeframes, and budgets.
Responsibilities
- Analyze labour, material, and time requirements for a project.
- Prepare and coordinate take-offs and reports detailing all costs associated with a project.
- Present cost estimates to Project Manager.
- Review customer requirements for a project and assist with meeting needs as projects evolve.
- Analyze risk and opportunities.
- Monitor project progress and handle issues or seek guidance and direction.
Must Have
- Proven work experience as an Estimator.
- Strong client-facing and teamwork skills.
- Capability to manage timelines of various projects at once.
- Blueprint reading.
- Clear and decisive communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Attention to detail.
Nice to have
- Direct experience in overhead crane industry.
- Engineering/Construction diploma/degree.
- Five years or more of industry experience.
- BSc. in Business Administration or related field.
